CIERA DIBELLO 

Vice President 

Ciera DiBello is a senior dually enrolled at University of Northern Colorado and Aims Community College. She is the President of her local Student Nurses Association and Vice President of Colorado Student Nurses Association. Ciera is passionate about health care and volunteering for noble causes. She has worked with Trident Veteran Adaptive Programs helping disabled vets learn how to scuba dive. She has also paired with the Kawasaki Foundation to bring awareness and help raise money for continued research. Currently Ciera is finishing up her last semester and hopes to find a job in the Emergency department and eventually become a Trauma Nurse.

DARIAN ROBINSON

Treasurer 

Darian Robinson - Treasurer
Darian is a fourth generation Colorado Native who is currently attending Aims Community College for her ADN and University of Northern Colorado for her BSN. Darian aspires to work in the surgical ICU or emergency setting, being able to help someone on their worst day is the most rewarding feeling. She choose to step up to a Colorado SNA position in hopes of networking and building her professional skills in the transition from student nurse to professional nurse. In addition to school she enjoys spending time with her family, fiance, and four legged child. She is also super excited to welcome a baby boy in August 2020. Any free time she gets is usually spent outdoors four wheeling, camping, snowboarding, and hiking. She is looking forward to another fun filled year with CSNA.

AMANDA BOGGS 

Secretary 

Amanda Boggs is currently a first level nursing student at Trinidad State Junior College in Trinidad, CO. Amanda hopes to work in emergency medicine when she graduates as a RN next spring. She decided to be apart of CSNA to be able to reach more students about nursing and all the options nursing has to give. Amanda’s goal for being apart of CSNA is to help reach more rural students and educate them on how to get into the nursing field and the help they can receive. 

AMANDA HERRERA 

Director of Communications 

Amanda Herrera is attending Trinidad State Junior College in Alamosa, Colorado. In addition to serving as the Legislative Director she is also the President for her local Student Nurse Association. Amanda has a six year old daughter that has been the greatest blessing of her life. Amanda has found a passion for emergency room care and psychiatric care and hopes to pursue a career in these fields. Amanda also has a passion for leadership and helping guide pre-nursing and nursing students to find their passion for nursing. She believes that with an increase of nursing turn over, change has to start with nursing students at a local, state, and national level to advocate for not only patients, but safe nurse to patients ratios, policy procedures, and support form administration. 

CASSANDRA PEDERSEN

Legislative & Education Director 

Cassandra Pedersen is a first semester nursing student dually enrolled in Arapahoe Community College’s RN and BSN programs. She is originally from California, where she still holds her LVN license, and just recently moved to Colorado in 2018 with her family. She is also a member of both her school’s chapter of the SNA and National Honors Society. Cassandra has always had a passion for healthcare and plans on starting her career as a forensic nurse examiner as soon possible after graduation. She is looking forward to her new role as Legislative Director for the CSNA and hopes to take the knowledge gained from this experience and apply it directly to her career.

VANESSA MAXFIELD

Director of Community Outreach

My name is Vanessa Maxfield. I am a first-year student at Trinidad State Junior College at the Trinidad Campus. I am the 1st year night treasurer for our local SNA Chapter, as well as a representative for Student Nurse Association for Student Government. I am pursuing a degree in nursing because I have a passion for helping others and it’s something, I’ve dreamed of doing since I was little. I also have a significant mission to make a difference in the lives of others. My end goal would be to become a flight nurse and know that my willingness to learn and my determination won’t stop me from reaching that goal.  Nursing is a very rewarding career and allows you to give back to your community by giving care to someone else. I have worked as a CNA for about seven years and the feeling of getting to help someone else is a feeling that cannot be explained. I am currently the new Community Outreach Director and I am looking forward to serving this position. My goal is to get more people involved and informed on the role of being a nurse. My plans for when I graduate are to pursue a degree in emergency trauma nursing with an end goal on becoming a flight nurse.

RACHAEL GABBARD

Rachael is a Colorado native currently attending the University of Northern Colorado where she is working towards her BSN. In her spare time she enjoys anything outdoors and spending time with her friends and family. Rachael hopes to begin her nursing career in the ER where she can help as many people as possible. Rachael is currently Project Director North and is looking forward to planning some memorable and educational conferences for nursing students. Rachael is looking forward to being apart of CSNA to grow her professional and networking skills as well as the opportunity to help other nursing students throughout the state.

HEATHER NEUBAUER

Membership Director North

Heather Neubauer is currently enrolled in the BSN program at Platt College in Aurora. In addition to serving as the Membership Director North, Heather is the President of her school’s SNA chapter. She was born and raised in Portland, Oregon, but enjoys all the things Colorado has to offer. Heather has worked for UCHealth on their transplant/hepatology unit as well as in hospice and long term care. She enjoys caring for patients of all ages, but recently discovered her passion for pediatrics. After nursing school Heather and her fiancé plan to stay in the Denver metro area where she hopes to pursue a career in pediatrics.

JENNA JAVAR

Membership Director South

Jenna is attending an ADN program at Trinidad State Junior College, Alamosa. She is also currently serving as the Secretary for her local SNA chapter. Jenna has a BS in marine biology from UCSC and previously worked in veterinary medicine for 8 years. For the past two years she has been working as a telemetry technician and unit secretary in the ICU. After graduating, Jenna plans to obtain her BSN and is considering continuing her education in the medical field and pursuing the role of Nurse Practitioner. In her free time, Jenna enjoys spending time with her family, reading, playing music, and experimenting with new recipes. Jenna is passionate about helping those in need and providing holistic care to patients and their families. 

WENDI HARRISON 

New Graduate Advisor 

Wendi is attending an ADN program at Trinidad State Junior College in Alamosa, Colorado. In addition to serving as the Membership Director (south) for the Colorado Student Nurse’s Association, she serves as the Vice President for her local SNA chapter. She has been a CNA and a Certified Pharmacy Technician for the last 16 years. Wendi is interested in Obstetrics and currently works as a patient care technician in an LDPR department at her local hospital. She is also passionate about helping high school students in her area become interested in nursing, and with the process of applying to college and navigating nursing school. Wendi chose to add to her busy schedule of school, work and raising teenagers to be a part of CSNA; to gain leadership experience, network, and broaden her nursing experience and education. In her limited spare time, Wendi loves spending time outdoors with her husband and children.

ANI MATT 

Faculty Advisor 

Ani is currently Nursing Faculty at Aims Community College in Greeley. Ani began her nursing career in 1997 as CNA and obtained her LPN and then ADN from Front Range Community College in 2005. The entirety of her career has been spent in the Intensive Care Unit and then as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner. Ani obtained her BSN and MSN-Ed from Western Governors University in 2016 and began her career in education in 2017. In addition to being the advisor for the Colorado Student Nurses Association, she is also the faculty advisor for the Aims Community College Student Nurses Association. She teaches Medical Surgical Nursing, Pharmacology, and Mental Health Nursing. When she is not molding the minds of the next generation of nurses, she can be found sunburnt and muddy in the garden, relaxing with a Stephen King novel, or doing a DIY project in the house.
