Director of Community Outreach
My name is Vanessa Maxfield. I am a first-year student at Trinidad State Junior College at the Trinidad Campus. I am the 1st year night treasurer for our local SNA Chapter, as well as a representative for Student Nurse Association for Student Government. I am pursuing a degree in nursing because I have a passion for helping others and it’s something, I’ve dreamed of doing since I was little. I also have a significant mission to make a difference in the lives of others. My end goal would be to become a flight nurse and know that my willingness to learn and my determination won’t stop me from reaching that goal. Nursing is a very rewarding career and allows you to give back to your community by giving care to someone else. I have worked as a CNA for about seven years and the feeling of getting to help someone else is a feeling that cannot be explained. I am currently the new Community Outreach Director and I am looking forward to serving this position. My goal is to get more people involved and informed on the role of being a nurse. My plans for when I graduate are to pursue a degree in emergency trauma nursing with an end goal on becoming a flight nurse.
